Your Whitening Session is Complete! Here’s How to Keep Your Smile Bright.
We hope you’re loving your new, brighter smile! Thank you so much for choosing us to enhance your smile. To help you maintain and enhance your results, here are a few important reminders:
DO NOT: eat or drink for 1 hour after your session, except for water.
DO NOT: smoke or vape for at least 1 hour, preferably 24 hours.
Allow 24 Hours for Full Results: Your smile will reach its brightest and true color within 24 hours as the whitening treatment continues to settle and absorb.
Avoid Staining Foods and Drinks for the First 24 Hours: Dentinal tubules stay open for 24 hours after whitening, and are therefore more susceptible to stain. To keep your smile as bright as possible, please avoid the following:
● Coffee and Tea
● Red Wine
● Tomato-Based Sauces (e.g., pasta sauce, ketchup, salsa)
● Berries (e.g., blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries)
● Soy Sauce
● Beets
● Colored Popsicles and Ice Cream
● Dark Chocolate
● Sports and Energy Drinks
● Curry
● Smoking or Chewing Tobacco
● Dark-Colored Soft Drinks (e.g., cola)
● Colored Sauces and Marinades (e.g., barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce)
● Spicy Foods
If you’re ever unsure, if it would stain a white t-shirt, best to avoid it.
Toothpaste: Sensodyne Fresh Mint, Colgate Pro-Relief, or Oral Science Remin.
Sensitivity: Despite our best efforts, sometimes you will experience sensitivity after a whitening treatment. Take Advil or Tylenol as needed, or your preferred pain killer. Drink through a straw if having cold drinks.
